Sanford & Tatum Insurance Agency Once Again Qualifies as a "Best Practices" Agency

Sanford & Tatum Insurance Agency, a division of HeritageRM and one of the largest independent agencies in the Southwest, has again qualified as an Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) Best Practices Agency. This allows Sanford & Tatum to continue to be a part of an elite group of independent insurance agencies around the United States that qualify for the “Best Practices” study group. IIABA and Reagan Consulting, a management consulting firm based out of Atlanta, began producing the Best Practices Study in 1993 to examine the top performing agencies across the country. The study compiles benchmarking data on the key metrics of agency performance and value including revenue growth and profitability, financial stability, expense management, and sales and operations productivity. There were 1,790 independent agencies nominated to participate in the Best Practices Study this year, and 400 firms submitted full data. After all submissions were ranked objectively on 33 performance factors, only 254 agencies scored high enough to qualify as a Best Practices Agency. This isn’t the first time Sanford & Tatum has been recognized for its cutting-edge strategies.
