Sanford & Tatum Insurance celebrates opening of new headquarters

Sanford & Tatum Insurance has made itself at home at its new building at 5241 98th St.

Sanford & Tatum Insurance, a division of HeritageRM, moved to its new location on July 11 and hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house Tuesday.

The new headquarters is about 1,800 square feet and includes the Marion Sanford Education and Training Center, which was named for the company’s co-founder. The center features a 120-inch display screen, a high-definition sound system and seating for 50 people.

Douglas Sanford, Sanford & Tatum co-CEO, said the new headquarters is representation of the support the company has received from the local community.

“This building is simply a material representation of the support that we have from all of our clients and supporters we’ve had for many years,” Sanford said. “We couldn’t have done this without you. Your friendship and support is what’s important — the building is very nice.”

Diannah Tatum, Sanford & Tatum co-CEO, said she looks forward to offering their services, and more at their new building.

“We have been blessed by the overwhelming support of our community, partners, staff and most importantly, customers,” Diannah Tatum, Sanford & Tatum co-CEO said. “All of these have made this building and our vision a reality. We look forward to providing our customers with the Risk Management and Services that our staff excels in and customers deserve. Sanford & Tatum Insurance has moved into a new era.”

Dan Pope, Lubbock mayor, said he appreciated the business Sanford & Tatum offers the Lubbock community and congratulated the staff on its new headquarters.

“Since 1935 this business, these fine people and the people that proceeded them have been serving the folks of Lubbock and all of Texas and Eastern New

Mexico,” Pope said. “We’re here to celebrate another step on that ladder on what’s a fabulous legacy. We’re just so thankful for Sanford & Tatum.”
