Sanford Kicks Off Chartered Toastmasters Club

Douglas Sanford began his involvement with the Downtown Lubbock Toastmasters Club in early 1972. He was a member of this club a total of four years and served as Club President during the fourth year.

Douglas rejoined the Downtown Lubbock Toastmasters Club in 2012 and 2013 bringing several Agency Risk Advisors with him to improve their speaking skills.

“During my Toastmasters career I’ve watched speakers transform not only their public speaking skills, but also their meeting conducting skills. I’ve watched participants go from being average to poise and proficient speakers, able to present their own ideas in a way to be easily communicated and understood.”

Monday June 26, 2017 marked the first official meeting of the Sanford & Tatum Chartered Toastmasters Club; during this meeting Douglas Sanford served as Mr. Toastmaster. In all there were 25 in attendance with 20 founding members present; of these attendees many were Sanford & Tatum Personnel and other members of the Lubbock Community.

Sanford & Tatum is excited to begin this journey with Toastmasters International and see the positive effects the organization has on our staff and other businesses in the community.
